Meath, the Royal County, is home of the Celtic Kings. The county is an area of flat fertile land. The historical significance of the area cannot be understated. The hill of Tara known as the seat of the Kings, the mound of Newgrange a burial site for local chiefs and the Hill of Slane where Saint Patrick lit the Easter fire are but a few of the sites in this beautiful county.
Meath has it all, history, beautiful scenery and the close proximity to the bustling city of Dublin. A trip to Dublin is not essential as the many towns and villages in County Meath provide a welcome break from city life.
